Business Etiquette Certification by Lisa Richey

What is the Difference Between Manners To Go and The American Academy of Etiquette?

Naming your business is one of the first items on our agenda.  Some of you come to me with the decision made others need a bit of assistance. Trust me, I have caught many mistakes over the years.

Let me explain the names I have for my businesses.

The American Academy of Etiquette, Inc. is the parent name to my business.  The business is incorporated.  I chose to do it this way when I launched in Dallas, Texas years ago.

Soon thereafter, I created Manners To Go to cater to  parents and children that were interested in teaching and learning manners.

Although I started teaching manners “live” to students, Manners To Go actually started as an activity kit.  My first order was from a local toy store, the second purchase order was from Neiman Marcus.

The American Academy of Etiquette today is also used to deliver services to corporations around the world.  It serves the “business” market.

I am so very proud of both entities.

Step 2

We offer two training options.

One option is to train in-person, the other is a virtual training.  Both trainings are very personal.

If you choose the in-person, we will mutually agree upon the dates and the location.  Most major cities are available (Washington DC, Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, Charlotte, etc.).

The virtual training is “live” via video.  Again, we mutually decide on the dates.  Most choose to have their trainings once a week, others twice.   This is NOT self-guided.  We work together every step of the way.

The cost of the license, certification and training is $4400 (virtual or in-person)

A benefit of  the virtual training option is YOU save on travel costs.
